Alika Ho’omana

President

Alika Hoʻomana is a husband, father, and the owner/creator of Ho'omana Strength and Conditioning.  Ho’omana Strength and Conditioning is an organization, established in Kailua-Kona, Hawaiʻi, that, like Alika Hoʻomana, embodies the belief that everyone has a kuleana (responsibility) in creating a healthier Hawaiʻi.  Alika sets out to empower those who want to live life to its fullest through health, fitness, nutrition, Hawaiian culture and tradition.

“The Nakuwauna Foundation is a passion welled inside of me to help our community.”

Alika, because he lives all that he teaches, has inspired countless members of our community to take a more active role in their lives and become healthier for themselves and their ʻohanas. He has trained and empowered those looking to get their lives back one step at a time, those wanting to enhance their already athletic performance, and those looking to compete from Ironman to weightlifting to jiu jitsu.

Through Alika’s experience and influence, Ho’omana Strength and Conditioning has had the opportunity to collaborate with local and global partners in the health and fitness industry, our community leaders, and Native Hawaiian cultural advisors to support the Ho’omana Strength and Conditioning mission and community health programs.

Agnes Prehn

Secretary

Originally from Holland, Agnes Prehn moved to Hawaii in 1986 and has been in Kailua-Kona ever since.  Prehn worked in the health and wellness industry for over 30 years. After a health scare in 2016, Prehn decided to take control of her own health. In 2019, after 22 years, Prehn separated from her job as the sales director for Nutrex-Hawaii, the makers of BioAstin, to pursue her passion to help the community by providing fitness and nutrition guidance.

Prehn ignited BioAstin’s name into Big Island’s athletic platform, as the sponsor to numerous local community events along with their “I Take BioAstin” Ambassador program that began in 2011. The program is still running today and offers sponsorships and products to individual athletes who, in return, share their passion to promote a healthy and more active lifestyle in the community.

After her separation from Nutrex, Prehn completed certification from the American Council of Exercise (ACE) and Precision Nutrition (PN) to become a group fitness trainer and a fitness nutrition coach and started her own fitness classes via BurnFitness808 to make a greater impact on improving health and wellness in our community.
